- The main advantages of PROMAG devices over other immersion tube anodes are the following:
- The anode (magnesium alloy with aluminum and zinc) is not corroded by the rush of water, thanks to the protective aluminum fin that breaks the path of water to the right and left of the anode.
- They do not cause a pressure drop because they are too roomy, while tau type fittings interpose the anode without provision for widening the tube at that point.
- Their action spreads many meters beyond the point of their installation. 4
- The aluminum shell does not corrode.
- The magnesium oxide shavings that remain at the bottom of the PROMAG can be easily removed once every six months so as not to cause network blockages.
- The service life of the anode is at least three years.
