Algae hinder the growth of aquatic plants. Laguna introduced a revolutionary product that permanently tackles the algae problem. The core of the I-Tronic consists of an anode made of a mineral copper alloy and a cathode made of stainless steel. The microprocessor-controlled operating display generates electrical impulses, as a result of which an exchange takes place, and positively charged copper ions are released. These ions or minerals are a natural enemy of filamentous and slime algae.

Technical explanation
The core of the I-Tronic consists of an anode made of a special copper alloy and a stainless steel cathode. An exchange takes place by means of electrical impulses and positively charged copper ions are released.
In a certain concentration, the copper ions or minerals naturally combat algae. The concentration of copper ions to destroy thread algae and stop growth is between 0.2 and 0.3 PPM. This is an absolutely harmless concentration for people, fish and plants. In normal pond water (with a PH value of 7 or more) the I-Tronic can never reach a harmful value.
The I-Tronic comes with an easy-to-use display with various setting options:
If there is a large amount of thread and slime algae, the Super Boost function can be selected, with the I-Tronic being activated 24 hours a day. This Super Boost setting causes a quick solution to the algae problem. However, the Super Boost must be reset after 24 hours. Variable setting from 5 to 10 hours a day depending on the extent of algae growth. This combats a small occurrence of algae.

A pump with a maximum capacity of 5,000 l/h is required for the I-Tronic-15 models.
