WM Monarch Series Oil Burners

WM Monarch Series Oil Burners

Product Information

WEISHAUPT® Monarch oil burners
Size 1 and 3

Description
WEISHAUPT® Monarch oil burners are of the fully automatic pressure atomizing type. Their design has been carefully considered down to the smallest detail and has been proved successful over the years. They meet all demands for safety, reliability and low cost service.

The burners are distinguished by a variety of interesting features:

  • Range of application 6 - 65kg/h (71 - 771 kW)
  • Automatic sequence of operations
  • Stable fan characteristics - good combustion results
  • Air regulation on pressure side
  • Air damper closed on burner shutdown (on two stage burners)
  • Quiet operation
  • Complete pre-wired integral switchgear
  • Hinged burner casing
  • Combustion head can be withdrawn when the burner is hinged
  • The design of the burner makes installation, adjustment and servicing easy

Construction
All components are assembled in one unit. The motor drives the fan and the fuel pump. All the equipment used for regulation of fuel and air is arranged clearly and is easily accessible. The burners can be hinged to left or right. This simplifies service work on combustion head, diffuser, nozzles and ignition electrodes.

Fuels
Distillate oil and medium oil to DIN 51 603 with viscosity of:

  • Types Monarch L and RL - <6mm2/s at 20ºC
  • Types Monarch M - r*75 mm2/s at 50ºC

Flame supervision
The burner control sequences the operations automatically and with the flame sensor monitors the flame optically. With the standard version, the control is mounted on the burner on all L and M burners, but can be supplied loose if requested. Together with the control panel, each burner forms one complete unit. On the RL burner, the burner control is supplied loose for fitting into the control panel.

No interference with radio and television reception
Radio interference created during ignition lines below the permitted limits of the relevant standards and legislations for EMC.

WEISHAUPT® oil burners type
Monarch, sizes 5 to 11

WEISHAUPT® Monarch oil burners are of the fully automatic pressure atomizing type and its design has been carefully considered down to the smallest detail and has been proved successful over the years. They meet all demands for safety, reliability and low cost service.

The burners distinguish themselves through a variety of features:

  • Large capacity and range of application 15-460 kg/h (178-5446 kW)
  • Automatic sequence of operations
  • Good combustion results
  • Air damper closed on burner shutdown
  • Quiet operation
  • Complete prewired integral switchgear (not on RL and RMS burners, types L9T, L10T (3 stage) and burners to TRD 604/72H).
  • Hinged burner casing
  • Combustion head can be withdrawn when the burner is hinged (sizes 9 to 11)
  • The design of the burner makes installation, adjustment and servicing easy.

Construction
The burner is of monoblock construction. The fan rotor is mounted on the motor shaft and drive the fuel pump. All equipment used for regulation of fuel and air is clearly arranged clearly and easily accessible. The burners can be hinged to left or right. This simplifies work on combustion head, diffuser, nozzles and ignition electrodes.

Application
RL and RMS burners are used preferably on process equipment with a continually changing heat demand, for example drying plant, large baking ovens etc.

Fuels
Distillate oil, medium and heavy oils to DIN 51 603 with viscosities of:

  • Types Monarch L and RL:
    up to 6 mm2/s at 20BC.
  • Types Monarch M :
    up to 75 mm2/s at 50BC.
  • Type Monarch MS and RMS :
    up to 50 mm2/s at 100BC.

Flame supervision
The burner control sequences the operation automatically and with the flame sensor monitors the flame optically. On oil burners without integral switchgear, the control is supplied loose for incorporation into the control panel or it can be mounted on the burner for an additional charge.

Radio and television interference
Any radio interference occuring during the ignition period is below the interference limit "N" laid down in the VDE specification 0875.

Nozzle re-circulation on residual oil burners
On residual oil burners heated oil flows around the nozzle head and oil line system during pre purge. This ensures that for flame establishment oil at the correct temperature for atomisation is available at the nozzle.

Combustion of residual oil
With residual oil burners types MS and RMS the oil throughput in relation to nominal rating must not be less than 100kg/h. It is also recommended that sliding two stage RMS type burners are used when burning this fuel.

Location
The standard burners are not suitable for positioning out of doors. Material, design and protection classification are designed for use indoors.

Conformity
It is be noted that where applicable, the burner identity label will contain the reference Ü, which designates that the burner has been type approved to the appropriate German Regulation. This identification may be requested in other European countries.
